FinChain, a blockchain financial infrastructure platform incubated by Fosun Wealth Holdings, has announced a strategic partnership with Plume to launch FLEX & FINO. This new on-chain yield enhancement strategy is designed to provide leveraged returns on FUSD, a compliant interest-bearing stablecoin backed by real-world assets (RWA). The product represents the first tangible result of the collaboration between the two entities, aiming to bridge traditional asset management strategies with decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystems.

Mechanism and Projected Returns

The FLEX & FINO strategy utilizes a "looping" leverage model to maximize capital efficiency for holders of FUSD. Under this framework, users collateralize their FUSD tokens to continue earning native yields while simultaneously borrowing USDC against the collateral. The borrowed liquidity is then deployed into specific on-chain liquidity pools to generate additional annual percentage yields (APY).

Key technical and financial parameters of the product include:

  • Projected Yield: A maximum annualized return of up to 7.2% under benchmark assumptions.
  • Utilization Cap: A risk-management ceiling set at 90% to govern leverage exposure.
  • Redemption Cycle: A T+2 settlement period for asset withdrawals.
  • Interest Settlement: Periodic payouts occurring within a T+14 to T+30 timeframe.

Asset Backing and Institutional Integration

The core asset, FUSD (FinChain Dollar), is an institutional-grade stablecoin backed by tokenized U.S. short-term Treasury bonds and compliant money market funds. These reserves are maintained at a collateralization ratio of no less than 100% and are held by designated regulated custodians. This structure ensures that the native yield of the token is derived from low-risk, traditional financial instruments before any DeFi-based enhancement is applied.

"The key to the growth of RWA lies in moving from asset issuance to genuinely usable financial applications", stated Chris Yin, CEO of Plume. "FUSD is backed by solid real-world asset reserves, and the launch of FLEX & FINO proves that a modular RWA blockchain can carry sophisticated institutional-grade financial strategies."

In addition to the Plume partnership, FinChain has recently completed an integration with the KuCoin exchange, allowing FUSD to participate in the RCMS staking mirror solution. This move further expands the token's utility as institutional collateral across both centralized and decentralized venues.

The introduction of FLEX & FINO marks a transition for tokenized real-world assets from passive holding instruments to active components of structured financial strategies. By combining the stability of U.S. Treasuries with the composability of the Plume RWA-centric Layer 2 blockchain, the partners aim to establish a reusable template for institutional capital entering the Web3 space. The strategy's performance will remain dependent on prevailing borrowing costs and the performance of the underlying liquidity pools.
