In a strategic move aimed at strengthening its presence in Europe, Okcoin Europe Ltd. has announced a name change to OKX and appointed Erald Ghoos as the new General Manager for Europe. As part of this rebranding, OKX seeks to unify its brand globally.

Expanding OKX Presence in Europe OKX is one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges globally, trusted by over 50 million users worldwide. The company has been operating in Europe since 2021, holding a cryptocurrency service provider registration with De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) and a license to provide virtual financial asset services in Malta.

As part of its expansion plans, OKX is currently conducting beta tests of its platform in the Netherlands, with an official launch on the horizon. The company is seeking user feedback during this phase to optimize performance and tailor its offerings to the local market.

Comment from OKX President Hong Fang, President of OKX, commented: "Europe is home to many diverse and growing communities of cryptocurrency users, some of whom have yet to be introduced to OKX. Our mission in the coming months and years is to build locally, including in important markets such as the Netherlands."

OKX Successes According to the Finance Magnates Intelligence report, OKX is the fourth largest exchange in terms of spot transaction volumes, which grew by almost 130% in March compared to February. The value amounted to $171 billion, trailing behind ByBit in third place by only a few percentage points.

Appointment of Erald Ghoos as General Manager for Europe Erald Ghoos, the newly appointed General Manager for Europe, brings extensive experience to his role, having previously served as General Manager of Okcoin Europe. Under his leadership, OKX aims to establish local teams that will drive the company's global strategy, ensuring a personalized experience for its diverse user base.
