Starbucks Closes NFT Odyssey Rewards Program

Coffee giant Starbucks announced on Friday that it is shutting down its beta platform, Starbucks Odyssey, which offered NFT-based rewards created on the Polygon network.

Starbucks intends to close the Odyssey platform and its associated Discord server in the coming days, without giving a clear signal of planned return.

"The Starbucks Odyssey beta program must come to an end to prepare for what the future holds as we continue to evolve the program," reads an official FAQ.

"While the Starbucks Odyssey beta program is coming to an end, we're excited for you to see what the future holds, and we're grateful for your continued engagement and feedback," the FAQ also states. "We're grateful for the opportunity to test different ways of building community and loyalty at Starbucks, and we look forward to sharing these learnings with a wider audience."

Will Starbucks return with an NFT rewards program in the future?
